I have been working with Google Analytics for long and while trying to learn Flex, tried to create a Dashboard based on data provided by Google. This dashboard titled “Web Stats” is made entirely in Adobe Flex 2. The data source of this Dashboard is a remotely located XML file which contains details of hits on a website. The XML file has list of US states visiting the target site along with Page per visit and Bounce Rate. The XML file contains data for 4 months.
The Dashboard not only analyzes the retrieved data but also present it in a datagrid as well adds visual appeal by using Column Chart and Pie Chart. The charting component in Flex really makes such presentations exquisite and adds the face value.

I surf internet quite a lot and have found things that are very interesting but the greatest discovery of my voyage on Internet is Adobe Flex 2.0. I have been working long with flash and Action script but was never a master at it. But since the time I have seen the potential of Adobe Flex, I can’t help myself to indulge myself more and more into Adobe Flexing.
The creativity of Adobe Flex with the flexibility of attaching any back end (PHP in my case) simply mesmerized me. I have always loved Adobe products starting from Adobe Photoshop to Adobe Acrobat Professional but with Flex 2.0, Adobe has really created a fantastic product which will definitely redefine Web based Applications. The samples posted on Adobe website were inspiring enough me learn and create as much possible. Going ahead with this blog I will try to post the things from my kitty of Adobe Flex.

Welcome ! This is the first time I am writing a blog. After killing over 3 hours I was able to select this theme which was named by its creators as “Bus Full of Hippies”(Hell of a name). Anyways the theme looks amazing though slow to load but worth it.
I decided to write this blog in order to showcase some of Flex and PHP things I have been developing for sometime. Wish me luck!!
